Cam walkers are often known as moon boots and offer excellent support for foot and ankle. Cam walkers are often used to immobilise the foot or ankle after a fracture or soft tissue injury. The length of time the cam walker is needed will differ dependant on pathology. Generally, the cam walkers are worn for 1-2 weeks for a soft tissue injury, or 6-8 weeks for a fracture.
